The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), an
autonomous entity within the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), has
allocated 25 million euros to Iran's Barez Industrial Corporation to
import its required items.
ITFC's responsibility is to monitor market
trends and achieve the Islamic Development Bank's objectives through
the introduction of specialized funds, ISNA wrote.

Al Hilal Bank, Abu Dhabi-based Islamic bank, in partnership with Abu
Dhabi Investment House, leading financial institution based in Abu
Dhabi, has announced the launch of Al Wataniya Development Fund aimed
at tapping the huge potential of Abu Dhabi real estate sector.
This is the first of a series of investment products to be launched by
the bank to capitalize on the opportunities available locally and
across the globe.

OIC signed a deal with Afghanistan to build an Islamic Center for education and professional training.
The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) said in a statement on
its website, "Fund for Assistance of the Afghan People signed a
contract with the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan to establish an
Islamic Center for education and professional training for the benefit
of Islamic schools in the Province of Kapisa in the north of the
Republic of Afghanistan."

(Ukhwah) is confident that its property assets will grow to RM150
million by the end of the year.
Its property manager Ahmad Rahizal Rasidi said, the property assets at present stand at RM115 million.

KUALA LUMPUR, Labuan Offshore Financial Services
Authority (Lofsa) has extended Datuk Azizan Abd Rahman's tenure as its
director-general (DG) for another two years with effect from July 2009.
In a statement here Thursday, Lofsa said Azizan has held the position since July 2005.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang (PAS-Marang) Wednesday called for a review on the implementation of the Islamic financial system in the country, saying the profit margin from loans provided under the system was too high.
He said the margin did not differ much with the conventional financial system, thus defeating the purpose of having a separate system.

Dubai Bank announced today that it has partnered with Islamic Arab Insurance Company (SALAMA) to expand its product portfolio.
Dubai Bank customers will now be offered a range of Shariah compliant unit-linked funds through systematic investment plans and lump-sum investments.
